Ethics and Credentials
Talicia Brown is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT # 8193) in the State of Oregon and Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB). Also, Talicia is an active member of the Amercian Massage Council, and holds liability insurance through AMC. Both the OBMT, NCTMB, and AMC have the highest standards in ethics and professionalism.
In addition, Harmony Massage is a Contracted Provider with ODS, PacificSource, and BlueCross/Blue Shield of Oregon medical insurance companies.
Draping
During your massage, you will be comfortably and fully covered, other than the area of focus. For example, when your leg is worked on, it will be uncovered and the sheet will be tucked in at your thigh. Draping is required and is used to provide warmth, comfort, and modesty.
Confidentiality
Harmony requires that each client complete and sign an intake form to provide us the information necessary to make your massage experience effective and safe. Information gathered during your massage therapy session is strictly confidential. Under no circumstances will it be shared for any purpose without your prior written consent. When you request that we will auto insurance companies following a motor vehicle accident, we are required to send chart notes to your auto insurance company for reimbursement.
Standards
At Harmony Massage we uphold the highest professional standards. In addition to her current certifications, Talicia pursues continuing education on an ongoing basis to expand her skills to provide quality massage therapy to each client.
Karma Yoga
Harmony Massage practices karma yoga, and offers 1 to 2 massage sessions per week for free or low cost to clients who could not afford massage otherwise.
